Excavating Footings--Steel Placement

Elevator Pit

Elevator pit was lowered to accommodate the substitute elevator.

Footing and grade beam steel...

Staking and tie wires hold the steel in place until concrete can be poured. There are also small concrete blocks the bottom steel sit on...which becomes part of the footing when concrete is poured.

Laying out the next grade beam steel...

Weaving the web of steel in compliance to the engineering drawings is like working a puzzle...getting the right bar in the right sequences.

One Section Completed.
This section is ready for concrete.
