Formwork...Steel...Plumbing...Concrete Pour

Vertical Form Work

The vertical form work was assembled on the ground (see June 5th) first, then set in-place by crane. Each panel is then leveled with plastic shims and locked in-place with wing bolts.

Vertical Wall Assembly nears completion.

The vertical shear walls are reinforced concrete. They are constructed using a "sandwich" assembly of forms. Here the second half is being installed.

There is hundreds of feet of conduit for electrical and communications and that is just in the concrete foundation and slab.

Large Retaining Wall

Yvonne is at the top of the photo and her helpers below...the tricky assembly of the wall concrete forms takes time.

Yvonne is on top of the wall framing to the right and Joe is on the steel cage at mid-photo. They and their helpers are assembling the concrete form work.

Overview shot and concrete truck...

The (left) photo is the view from the San Antonio Building parking lot. The elevator enclosure is the large wood form in the middle of the photo. Another concrete truck arrives and deposits its load in the pumper truck.

Keeping History
This round concrete dedication plack was dislodged during grading. Rick saved it (thanks Rick) for replacement. The Freedom Wall is the low river rock wall shown in the photo to the left. This wall is to remain after the new building is completed.

The pumper truck is some 70 feet from the wall location...an amazing shot!
