Back to Casa Nueva Site

Surgio and his helper prepare the footing steel near the elevator pit.

Setting the slab forms...the stick he is holding has a "level" sensor that helps to indicate the vertical height of the form board.

Surgio said he has been in the construction trades for about 7 years, with 2 of those years with Edrow. Surgio, like his other crew mates, likes working outside and on a verity of projects. He said the part he does not care for is when sand-blasting occurs...the sand gets everywhere and can be very uncomfortable. He also said that it was nice that the owner and users of the building visit the site as often as we do...it helps him understand the importance of his work...it's just not a building...it's a place people are going to come and work...I could see the pride in his face as he told me that. Thanks Surgio...that's why we wanted to tell these stories.

Our interest in bringing you these stories to let you know who the people are that are building our project...more stories to follow.
